The Las Vegas Region Porsche Club of America recently celebrated a historic moment when we welcomed the first PCA Car and Cash Giveaway winner in our region’s history.
The prize package included:
- A brand-new 2026 Porsche Carrera
- $40,000 in cash
We had the pleasure of surprising Maciek and his lovely wife, Caroline, with the exciting news.
Of course, we needed a little creativity to make it happen.
To get them to Porsche Henderson, we told a tiny white lie and invited them to attend as one of ten finalists who would be competing for the grand prize and several additional awards.
What Maciek and Caroline didn’t know was that the other nine “finalists” were actually members of our very own board, all of whom enthusiastically agreed to play along.
As everyone gathered, the large overhead screen displayed the winner’s name.
When Maciek and Caroline realized what was happening, their reactions were absolutely priceless.
For a moment, I thought Maciek might actually pass out!
A special thank-you goes to Julie Cain, Paul Jarrett, and Erica Burke Allen, who arranged the venue, provided refreshments, and created a beautiful two-foot-by-three-foot commemorative title display to accompany the car and cash award.
The official presentation will be made by Vu Nguyen, National Director of Porsche North America.
We would also like to recognize the members of the Las Vegas Region PCA who helped make the surprise possible:
- Mark Coronado, Vice President
- Ed Hanford, Treasurer
- Jed Weintraub, Director
- Richard Burns, Director
- Brian Schmidt, Chief Driving Instructor
- Barbara Barron, Volunteer Coordinator
- Tony Affronti
- Cynthia Affronti
- Jayne Weintraub
Not only were they wonderful sports, but I think several of them may have promising futures in acting.
It was an incredible event, and we could not be happier for Maciek and Caroline.
They were truly deserving winners, and their gratitude and excitement made the celebration even more memorable.
Congratulations from all of us at the Las Vegas Region Porsche Club of America!
